Heather graduated in 2019 from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, and then moved to Suffolk to start work as a mixed practice vet.

She joined Ryder-Davies in 2021, initially working as both an equine and small animal vet. After 2 years she decided to focus on small animal work full-time, and is now based primarily at Woodbridge.

She has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, and also finds it extremely rewarding when caring for and getting to know in-patients during their stay.

Outside of work, she enjoys sewing and dressmaking, and has kept up her horsey fix by riding regularly. She has a very mischievous ginger cat, Giuseppe.
